My name is Trevor Pelkey, and I’m from Pittsfield, Massachusetts. I am 18 years old, a high school senior about to graduate and attend college.

Throughout the past couple of years, I have grown closer to the Church than I ever have been before. I have multiple people to thank for that, but I really owe you the biggest thanks of all. A few months ago, I went to my priest to ask about resources I could use, and one person he recommended was you. After following you on Word on Fire, watching a lot of your videos, and listening to a lot of your podcasts, I noticed a deep desire within me to get as close as possible with God.

I continue to find myself craving more and more. You have truly renewed my faith and inspired me to spread the word of God. I have never felt so passionately about something in my life, so enthralled with the word of God.

I may not plan on being a priest, but can truly say, with all of my heart, that I want to be a “new evangelist”—the kind that you describe in your videos.

I don’t normally write letters like this, but in this case I felt a great need to do it. You have sparked the start of a huge change in my life and I can’t thank you enough.
