Growing up, I hated the Church and the rules. All I wanted was a personal relationship with God. As a Protestant, I felt like I was starving for Christ. This was the moment when I started watching your videos on YouTube and, later on, I started reading your books. Your video on “Protestantism and Authority” made so much sense. I never truly understood why we have so many Protestant denominations, which led me to research Christian history. I absolutely loved your quote by Newman: “To be deep in history is to cease to be Protestant.”

Your commentary and your comments on your YouTube videos are brilliant and challenged my own beliefs. While I was on my journey towards the truth, I came across two churches that claim to be the original church of Christ: the Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church. At first I considered joining the Orthodox Church, since Catholicism seemed so legalistic to me. (I still had resentments towards the Church.)

But after researching and reading the writings of the Church Fathers, I now consider myself a Catholic. For the first time in my life, I finally feel like I have found my home with the Catholic Church.
